How old do I have to be to take a class?
Starting ages change based on the classes that are available, however as a general rule we require that our students who are in structured classes be at least 8 years of age (There are some exceptions to this rule based on the individual).
Can I get a refund?
After you have paid for your class, that space is now yours and that space cannot be filled. While we do not offer refunds, we will credit your prorated balance towards another class or private lesson that meets your needs. Classes are subject to availability.
What class is the right class for me?
The “right” class is determined by your interest, experience level and your personal goals. Each class is categorized by area of study and age range. Although we have age parameters for each class we are aware that sometimes those parameters don't meet the needs of each student. We suggest reviewing the classes offered, taking notes and then emailing us to discuss your options.
What do we expect from our students?
Our expectations are high. We provide a safe environment for students to learn and grow and we expect them to take advantage of that. All fears should be left at the front door. Every session should include a risk, something they haven't allowed themselves to do yet. We expect hard work and discipline in the classroom and at home while preparing their assignments for the next time we meet.

I’ve never acted before. Where do I begin?
The best place to begin is by setting up an appointment to meet for an evaluation, feedback, and an action plan. We take great care in identifying each student's strengths and weaknesses and developing a plan to help you reach your goals. It’s always a great idea to learn from the acting greats by reading. Check out our recommended reading list.
Can you help me secure an agent?
No, unfortunately not; only you can do that. However, we are able to point you in the right direction. We have wonderful relationships with agents and we make referrals based on the ability of the student. Recommendations will only be made for individuals who have actively participated in training at StarCatcher.
What happens if I miss a class? Do I get a makeup?
We understand that situations arise, so with that in mind we do our best to make sure that you get the most out of your classes. Most classes are 6-week sessions and each session includes one excused absence. Please inquire about absences when you register to ensure that you are clear on how absences work for your particular class.
Do I have to pay for classes in full prior to the first class?
Yes. All classes will need to be paid in full before the first class begins. We make the payment process very easy and painless.
